فَلَمَّا ذَهَبَ عَنْ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ ٱلرَّوْعُ وَجَآءَتْهُ ٱلْبُشْرَىٰ يُجَـٰدِلُنَا فِى قَوْمِ لُوطٍ 74
(74) Когда прошел страх, который Ибрахим почувствовал после странного поведения гостей, и святой пророк услышал радостную весть о появлении на свет ребенка, он принялся уговаривать ангелов не подвергать народ Лута погибели. По этому поводу Всевышний сказал: «Когда Наши посланцы прибыли к Ибрахиму (Аврааму) с радостной вестью, они сказали: “Мы собираемся погубить жителей этого селения. Воистину, его жители являются беззаконниками”. Он сказал: “Но ведь там Лут (Лот)!” Они сказали: “Нам лучше знать, кто там! Мы непременно спасем его и его семью, кроме его жены, которая будет в числе оставшихся позади”» (29:31–32).
