QUL does not say which printed edition it follows and states no licence for the texts, so the right to show them is not verified. Nobody has compared it with a printed book or a manuscript, and no scholar has reviewed it. Each passage stands beside the verses it comments on, which are the Qur’ān text of Tanzil, shown as it is there. Where the text carries a note of an editor’s, in double brackets, it is shown as it stands. There is no translation yet.

قُلْ إِنِّىٓ أَخَافُ إِنْ عَصَيْتُ رَبِّى عَذَابَ يَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍ 13 قُلِ ٱللَّهَ أَعْبُدُ مُخْلِصًا لَّهُۥ دِينِى 14 فَٱعْبُدُوا۟ مَا شِئْتُم مِّن دُونِهِۦ ۗ قُلْ إِنَّ ٱلْخَـٰسِرِينَ ٱلَّذِينَ خَسِرُوٓا۟ أَنفُسَهُمْ وَأَهْلِيهِمْ يَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ ۗ أَلَا ذَٰلِكَ هُوَ ٱلْخُسْرَانُ ٱلْمُبِينُ 15 لَهُم مِّن فَوْقِهِمْ ظُلَلٌ مِّنَ ٱلنَّارِ وَمِن تَحْتِهِمْ ظُلَلٌ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ يُخَوِّفُ ٱللَّهُ بِهِۦ عِبَادَهُۥ ۚ يَـٰعِبَادِ فَٱتَّقُونِ 16
قَوْلُهُ عَزَّ وجَلَّ: ﴿قُلْ إنَّ الخاسِرِينَ الَّذِينَ خَسِرُوا أنْفُسَهم وأهْلِيهِمْ يَوْمَ القِيامَةِ﴾ فِيهِ ثَلاثَةُ تَأْوِيلاتٍ:
أحَدُها: خَسِرُوا أنْفُسَهم بِإهْلاكِها في النّارِ، وخَسِرُوا أهْلِيهِمْ بِأنْ لا يَجِدُوا في النّارِ أهْلًا، وقَدْ كانَ لَهم في الدُّنْيا أهْلٌ، قالَهُ مُجاهِدٌ وابْنُ زَيْدٍ.
الثّانِي: خَسِرُوا أنْفُسَهم بِما حَرَمُوها مِنَ الجَنَّةِ وأهْلِيهِمْ مِنَ الحُورِ العِينِ الَّذِينَ أُعِدُّوا [لَهُمْ] في الجَنَّةِ، قالَهُ الحَسَنُ وقَتادَةُ.
الثّالِثُ: خَسِرُوا أنْفُسَهم وأهْلِيهِمْ بِأنْ صارُوا هم بِالكُفْرِ إلى النّارِ، وصارُ أهْلُوهم بِالإيمانِ إلى الجَنَّةِ وهو مُحَتْمَلٌ.
