Al-Bayyina
This is a translation of Tafsīr as-Saʿdī as IslamHouse.com publishes it at saadi.islamenc.com, read from that site’s pages. The site does not say who translated it or which printed edition it follows, and states no terms for taking its text, so the right to show it is not verified. Nobody has compared it with a printed book, and no scholar has reviewed it. Each passage stands beside the verses it comments on, which are the Qur’ān text of Tanzil, shown as it is there; a verse the site gives no commentary of its own stands with the passage before it, and the index names each such verse. وَمَا تَفَرَّقَ ٱلَّذِينَ أُوتُوا۟ ٱلْكِتَـٰبَ إِلَّا مِنۢ بَعْدِ مَا جَآءَتْهُمُ ٱلْبَيِّنَةُ 4
(4) Dan bila ahli kitab tidak beriman dan tunduk pada Rasul a, hal itu bukanlah kesesatan dan pembangkangan mereka yang pertama, karena tidaklah mereka terpecah belah, berselisih, dan menjadi banyak golongan, ﴾ إِلَّا مِنۢ بَعۡدِ مَا جَآءَتۡهُمُ ٱلۡبَيِّنَةُ ﴿ "melainkan sesudah datang kepada mereka bukti yang nyata," yang mengharuskan orang-orang yang mengikutinya bersatu padu. Hanya saja karena kehina-an dan kerendahan, petunjuk hanya semakin menambah mereka sesat dan bashirahnya semakin membuat buta hati mereka.
