This is a translation of Tafsīr as-Saʿdī as IslamHouse.com publishes it at saadi.islamenc.com, read from that site’s pages. The site does not say who translated it or which printed edition it follows, and states no terms for taking its text, so the right to show it is not verified. Nobody has compared it with a printed book, and no scholar has reviewed it. Each passage stands beside the verses it comments on, which are the Qur’ān text of Tanzil, shown as it is there; a verse the site gives no commentary of its own stands with the passage before it, and the index names each such verse. إِنَّآ أَرْسَلْنَا نُوحًا إِلَىٰ قَوْمِهِۦٓ أَنْ أَنذِرْ قَوْمَكَ مِن قَبْلِ أَن يَأْتِيَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ 1
Dalam surat ini Allah سبحانه وتعالى hanya menyebutkan kisah Nabi Nuh saja, karena lamanya Nabi Nuh berada di tengah kaumnya serta berulang-ulangnya Nabi Nuh menyeru mereka untuk bertauhid dan melarang kesyirikan.
(1) Allah سبحانه وتعالى memberitahukan bahwa Dia mengutus Nabi Nuh عليه السلام pada kaumnya sebagai rahmat bagi mereka serta sebagai ancaman untuk mereka dari siksaan yang pedih karena tidak ingin mereka terus-menerus berada dalam kekufuran, yang akan menye-babkan Allah سبحانه وتعالى membinasakan dan menyiksa mereka dengan azab yang abadi.
