Adh-Dhaariyat
This is a translation of Tafsīr as-Saʿdī as IslamHouse.com publishes it at saadi.islamenc.com, read from that site’s pages. وَبِٱلْأَسْحَارِ هُمْ يَسْتَغْفِرُونَ 18
(18) ﴾ وَبِٱلۡأَسۡحَارِ ﴿ "Dan di akhir-akhir malam," yaitu sebelum fajar, ﴾ هُمۡ يَسۡتَغۡفِرُونَ ﴿ "mereka memohon ampun (kepada Allah)." Mereka melaksanakan shalat hingga waktu sahur, kemudian duduk di akhir shalat malamnya seraya memohon ampunan Allah سبحانه وتعالى layaknya orang berdosa yang memohon ampunan atas dosanya. Memohon ampunan di waktu menjelang fajar memiliki keutamaan khusus yang tidak dimiliki pada waktu-waktu lain sebagaimana yang di-firmankan Allah سبحانه وتعالى tentang ahli iman dan taat, ﴾ وَٱلۡمُسۡتَغۡفِرِينَ بِٱلۡأَسۡحَارِ 17 ﴿ "Dan orang-orang yang memohon ampunan di waktu sahur." (Ali Imran: 17).
