This is a translation of Tafsīr as-Saʿdī as IslamHouse.com publishes it at saadi.islamenc.com, read from that site’s pages. The site does not say who translated it or which printed edition it follows, and states no terms for taking its text, so the right to show it is not verified. Nobody has compared it with a printed book, and no scholar has reviewed it. Each passage stands beside the verses it comments on, which are the Qur’ān text of Tanzil, shown as it is there; a verse the site gives no commentary of its own stands with the passage before it, and the index names each such verse. وَشَدَدْنَا مُلْكَهُۥ وَءَاتَيْنَـٰهُ ٱلْحِكْمَةَ وَفَصْلَ ٱلْخِطَابِ 20
(20) Kemudian Allah menyebutkan karuniaNya kepada beliau, yaitu kerajaan agung, seraya berfirman, ﴾ وَشَدَدۡنَا مُلۡكَهُۥ ﴿ "Dan Kami kuatkan kerajaannya," maksudnya, Kami mengokohkannya dengan apa-apa yang Kami anugerahkan kepadanya, seperti ber-bagai fasilitas, banyaknya jumlah pasukan dan perlengkapan yang dengannya Allah menguatkan kerajaannya. Kemudian Allah me-nyebutkan karuniaNya yang lain kepada beliau berupa ilmu, seraya berfirman, ﴾ وَءَاتَيۡنَٰهُ ٱلۡحِكۡمَةَ ﴿ "Dan Kami berikan kepadanya hikmah," mak-sudnya, kenabian dan ilmu yang agung, ﴾ وَفَصۡلَ ٱلۡخِطَابِ ﴿ "dan kebijak-sanaan dalam menyelesaikan perselisihan," yakni pertikaian dan per-selisihan di antara manusia.
