This is a translation of Tafsīr as-Saʿdī as IslamHouse.com publishes it at saadi.islamenc.com, read from that site’s pages. The site does not say who translated it or which printed edition it follows, and states no terms for taking its text, so the right to show it is not verified. Nobody has compared it with a printed book, and no scholar has reviewed it. Each passage stands beside the verses it comments on, which are the Qur’ān text of Tanzil, shown as it is there; a verse the site gives no commentary of its own stands with the passage before it, and the index names each such verse. وَقَالُوا۟ نَحْنُ أَكْثَرُ أَمْوَٰلًا وَأَوْلَـٰدًا وَمَا نَحْنُ بِمُعَذَّبِينَ 35
(35) ﴾ وَقَالُواْ نَحۡنُ أَكۡثَرُ أَمۡوَٰلٗا وَأَوۡلَٰدٗا ﴿ "Dan mereka berkata, 'Kami lebih banyak mempunyai harta dan anak-anak'," maksudnya, lebih banyak daripada orang-orang yang mengikuti kebenaran, ﴾ وَمَا نَحۡنُ بِمُعَذَّبِينَ ﴿ "dan kami sekali-kali tidak akan diazab." Pertama, kami tidak akan dihidupkan kembali; dan jika kami dihidupkan kembali, maka Tuhan yang telah memberi kami harta kekayaan dan anak-anak di dunia akan memberi kami lebih banyak lagi di akhirat kelak dan Dia tidak akan menyiksa kami.
