Al-Qasas
This is a translation of Tafsīr as-Saʿdī as IslamHouse.com publishes it at saadi.islamenc.com, read from that site’s pages. وَلَمَّا تَوَجَّهَ تِلْقَآءَ مَدْيَنَ قَالَ عَسَىٰ رَبِّىٓ أَن يَهْدِيَنِى سَوَآءَ ٱلسَّبِيلِ 22
(22) ﴾ وَلَمَّا تَوَجَّهَ تِلۡقَآءَ مَدۡيَنَ ﴿ "Dan tatkala dia menghadap ke jurusan negeri Madyan." Maksudnya, pergi menuju negeri Madyan, yaitu yang terletak di selatan Palestina, di mana di sana Fir'aun tidak mempunyai kekuasaan, ﴾ قَالَ عَسَىٰ رَبِّيٓ أَن يَهۡدِيَنِي سَوَآءَ ٱلسَّبِيلِ ﴿ "ia berdoa (lagi), 'Mudah-mudahan Rabbku memimpinku ke jalan yang benar'," maksud-nya, ke tengah jalan yang singkat yang dapat mengantarku kepada-nya dengan mudah dan nyaman. Maka Allah pun membimbingnya kepada jalan yang lurus hingga akhirnya dia sampai di Madyan.
