Al-Baqara
This is a translation of Tafsīr as-Saʿdī as IslamHouse.com publishes it at saadi.islamenc.com, read from that site’s pages. The site does not say who translated it or which printed edition it follows, and states no terms for taking its text, so the right to show it is not verified. Nobody has compared it with a printed book, and no scholar has reviewed it. Each passage stands beside the verses it comments on, which are the Qur’ān text of Tanzil, shown as it is there; a verse the site gives no commentary of its own stands with the passage before it, and the index names each such verse. أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱشْتَرَوُا۟ ٱلْحَيَوٰةَ ٱلدُّنْيَا بِٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ ۖ فَلَا يُخَفَّفُ عَنْهُمُ ٱلْعَذَابُ وَلَا هُمْ يُنصَرُونَ 86
(86) ﴾ أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱشۡتَرَوُاْ ٱلۡحَيَوٰةَ ٱلدُّنۡيَا بِٱلۡأٓخِرَةِۖ ﴿ "Itulah orang-orang yang membeli kehidupan dunia dengan (kehidupan) akhirat." Mereka mengira bahwasanya mereka itu bila tidak membantu sekutu-sekutu mereka, niscaya mereka akan mendapatkan aib yang besar, maka mereka lebih memilih neraka daripada aib semata. Oleh karena itu Allah berfirman, ﴾ فَلَا يُخَفَّفُ عَنۡهُمُ ٱلۡعَذَابُ ﴿ "Maka tidak akan diringankan siksa mereka," bahkan dia kekal dalam kerasnya siksaan dan mereka sama sekali tidak mempunyai waktu istirahat, ﴾ وَلَا هُمۡ يُنصَرُونَ ﴿ "dan mereka tidak akan ditolong," maksudnya tidak ada yang akan men-jauhkan hal-hal yang tidak disukai dari mereka.
