Al-Baqara
This is a translation of Tafsīr as-Saʿdī as IslamHouse.com publishes it at saadi.islamenc.com, read from that site’s pages. The site does not say who translated it or which printed edition it follows, and states no terms for taking its text, so the right to show it is not verified. Nobody has compared it with a printed book, and no scholar has reviewed it. Each passage stands beside the verses it comments on, which are the Qur’ān text of Tanzil, shown as it is there; a verse the site gives no commentary of its own stands with the passage before it, and the index names each such verse. فَجَعَلْنَـٰهَا نَكَـٰلًا لِّمَا بَيْنَ يَدَيْهَا وَمَا خَلْفَهَا وَمَوْعِظَةً لِّلْمُتَّقِينَ 66
(66) ﴾ نَكَٰلٗا لِّمَا بَيۡنَ يَدَيۡهَا ﴿ "peringatan bagi orang-orang di masa itu," yaitu bagi orang yang ada di antara umat-umat itu, dan sampai kabar tentang mereka kepadanya di antara orang yang ada pada masa itu, ﴾ وَمَا خَلۡفَهَا ﴿ "dan bagi mereka yang datang kemudian," mak-sudnya, orang yang setelahnya, hingga tegaklah hujjah Allah atas hamba-hambaNya, dan agar mereka menghindari kemaksiatan kepadaNya, akan tetapi hal ini bukanlah merupakan suatu nasihat yang berguna kecuali bagi orang-orang yang bertakwa. Adapun orang-orang yang selain mereka, maka mereka tidak mengambil manfaat dari ayat-ayat tersebut.
