Al-Baqara
This is a translation of Tafsīr as-Saʿdī as IslamHouse.com publishes it at saadi.islamenc.com, read from that site’s pages. The site does not say who translated it or which printed edition it follows, and states no terms for taking its text, so the right to show it is not verified. Nobody has compared it with a printed book, and no scholar has reviewed it. Each passage stands beside the verses it comments on, which are the Qur’ān text of Tanzil, shown as it is there; a verse the site gives no commentary of its own stands with the passage before it, and the index names each such verse. صُمٌّۢ بُكْمٌ عُمْىٌ فَهُمْ لَا يَرْجِعُونَ 18
(18) ﴾ صُمُّۢ ﴿ "Mereka tuli," maksudnya tuli dari mendengarkan kebaikan, ﴾ بُكۡمٌ ﴿ "bisu," maksudnya bisu dari membicarakannya, ﴾ عُمۡيٞ ﴿ "dan buta" dari melihat kebenaran, ﴾ فَهُمۡ لَا يَرۡجِعُونَ ﴿ "maka tidaklah mereka akan kembali ke jalan yang benar," karena mereka meninggal-kan kebenaran setelah mereka mengetahuinya, lalu mereka tidak kembali kepadanya, berbeda dengan orang yang meninggalkan kebenaran karena kebodohan dan tersesat, karena sesungguhnya ia tidak berpikir, dan ini lebih dekat untuk kembali daripada orang-orang munafik itu.
