QUL does not say which printed edition it follows and states no licence for the texts, so the right to show them is not verified. Nobody has compared it with a printed book or a manuscript, and no scholar has reviewed it. Each passage stands beside the verses it comments on, which are the Qur’ān text of Tanzil, shown as it is there. Where the text carries a note of an editor’s, in double brackets, it is shown as it stands. There is no translation yet.

وَيَعْبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ مَا لَا يَضُرُّهُمْ وَلَا يَنفَعُهُمْ وَيَقُولُونَ هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ شُفَعَـٰٓؤُنَا عِندَ ٱللَّهِ ۚ قُلْ أَتُنَبِّـُٔونَ ٱللَّهَ بِمَا لَا يَعْلَمُ فِى ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَلَا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ ۚ سُبْحَـٰنَهُۥ وَتَعَـٰلَىٰ عَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَ 18
قَوْلُهُ تَعالى: ﴿وَيَقُولُونَ﴾ يَعْنِي المُشْرِكِينَ. ﴿هَؤُلاءِ﴾ يَعْنُونَ الأصْنامَ. قالَ أبُو عُبَيْدَةَ: خَرَجَتْ كِنايَتُها عَلى لَفْظِ كِنايَةِ الآدَمِيِّينَ. وقَدْ ذَكَرْنا هَذا المَعْنى في (الأعْرافِ:١٩١) عِنْدَ قَوْلِهِ: " وهم يُخْلَقُونَ " وفي قَوْلِهِ: ﴿شُفَعاؤُنا عِنْدَ اللَّهِ﴾ قَوْلانِ: أحَدُهُما: شُفَعاؤُنا في الآخِرَةِ، قالَهُ أبُو صالِحٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبّاسٍ، ومُقاتِلٌ. والثّانِي: شُفَعاؤُنا في إصْلاحِ مَعايِشِنا في الدُّنْيا، لِأنَّهم لا يُقِرُّونَ بِالبَعْثِ، قالَهُ الحَسَنُ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعالى: ﴿قُلْ أتُنَبِّئُونَ اللَّهَ بِما لا يَعْلَمُ﴾ قالَ الضَّحّاكُ: أتُخَبِّرُونَ اللَّهَ أنَّ لَهُ شَرِيكًا، ولا يَعْلَمُ اللَّهُ لِنَفْسِهِ شَرِيكًا في السَّمَواتِ ولا في الأرْضِ.
