QUL does not say which printed edition it follows and states no licence for the texts, so the right to show them is not verified. Nobody has compared it with a printed book or a manuscript, and no scholar has reviewed it. Each passage stands beside the verses it comments on, which are the Qur’ān text of Tanzil, shown as it is there. Where the text carries a note of an editor’s, in double brackets, it is shown as it stands. There is no translation yet.

فَلَا تُعْجِبْكَ أَمْوَٰلُهُمْ وَلَآ أَوْلَـٰدُهُمْ ۚ إِنَّمَا يُرِيدُ ٱللَّهُ لِيُعَذِّبَهُم بِهَا فِى ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنْيَا وَتَزْهَقَ أَنفُسُهُمْ وَهُمْ كَـٰفِرُونَ 55
﴿فَلا تُعْجِبْكَ أمْوالُهم ولا أوْلادُهُمْ﴾ فَإنَّ ذَلِكَ اسْتِدْراجٌ لَهُمْ، ووَبالٌ عَلَيْهِمْ، حَسْبَما يُنْبِئُ عَنْهُ قَوْلُهُ عَزَّ وجَلَّ: ﴿إنَّما يُرِيدُ اللَّهُ لِيُعَذِّبَهم بِها في الحَياةِ الدُّنْيا﴾ بِما يُكابِدُونَ لِجَمْعِها وحِفْظِها مِنَ المَتاعِبِ، وما يُقاسُونَ فِيها مِنَ الشَّدائِدِ والمَصائِبِ ﴿وَتَزْهَقَ أنْفُسُهم وهم كافِرُونَ﴾ فَيَمُوتُوا كافِرِينَ مُشْتَغِلِينَ بِالتَّمَتُّعِ عَنِ النَّظَرِ في العاقِبَةِ، فَيَكُونُ ذَلِكَ لَهم نِقْمَةً لا نِعْمَةً، وأصْلُ الزَّهُوقِ الخُرُوجُ بِصُعُوبَةٍ.
