إرشاد العقل السليم إلى مزايا الكتاب الكريمThis is the Arabic text of a classical tafsīr as the Quranic Universal Library (QUL, by Tarteel) has it, taken through the open copy of QUL’s data that spa5k/tafsir_api keeps. QUL does not say which printed edition it follows and states no licence for the texts, so the right to show them is not verified. Nobody has compared it with a printed book or a manuscript, and no scholar has reviewed it. Each passage stands beside the verses it comments on, which are the Qur’ān text of Tanzil, shown as it is there. Where the text carries a note of an editor’s, in double brackets, it is shown as it stands. There is no translation yet.

وَإِن كَانُوا۟ مِن قَبْلِ أَن يُنَزَّلَ عَلَيْهِم مِّن قَبْلِهِۦ لَمُبْلِسِينَ 49
﴿وَإنْ كانُوا﴾ "إنْ" مُخَفَّفَةٌ مِن "إنَّ"، وضَمِيرُ الشَّأْنِ الَّذِي هو اسْمُها مَحْذُوفٌ، أيْ: وإنَّ الشَّأْنَ كانُوا.
﴿مِن قَبْلِ أنْ يُنَزَّلَ عَلَيْهِمْ﴾ أيِ: المَطَرُ.
﴿مِن قَبْلِهِ﴾ تَكْرِيرٌ لِلتَّأكُّدِ، والإيذانِ بِطُولِ عَهْدِهِمْ بِالمَطَرِ، واسْتِحْكامِ يَأْسِهِمْ مِنهُ، وقِيلَ: الضَّمِيرُ لِلْمَطَرِ، أوِ السَّحابِ، أوِ الإرْسالِ. وقِيلَ: لِلْكِسْفِ عَلى القِراءَةِ بِالسُّكُونِ. ولَيْسَ بِواضِحٍ وأقْرَبَ مِن ذَلِكَ أنْ يَكُونَ الضَّمِيرُ لِلِاسْتِبْشارِ، و "مِن" مُتَعَلِّقَةٌ بِـ يُنَزِّلُ لِتُفِيدَ سُرْعَةَ تَقَلُّبِ قُلُوبِهِمْ مِنَ اليَأْسِ إلى الِاسْتِبْشارِ بِالإشارَةِ إلى غايَةِ تَقارُبِ زَمانَيْهِما بِبَيانِ اتِّصالِ اليَأْسِ بِالتَّنْزِيلِ المُتَّصِلِ بِالِاسْتِبْشارِ بِشَهادَةِ إذا الفُجائِيَّةِ.
﴿لَمُبْلِسِينَ﴾ خَبَرُ كانُوا، و "اللّامُ" فارِقَةٌ، أيْ: آيِسِينَ.
