QUL does not say which printed edition it follows and states no licence for the texts, so the right to show them is not verified. Nobody has compared it with a printed book or a manuscript, and no scholar has reviewed it. Each passage stands beside the verses it comments on, which are the Qur’ān text of Tanzil, shown as it is there. Where the text carries a note of an editor’s, in double brackets, it is shown as it stands. There is no translation yet.

فَعَسَىٰ رَبِّىٓ أَن يُؤْتِيَنِ خَيْرًا مِّن جَنَّتِكَ وَيُرْسِلَ عَلَيْهَا حُسْبَانًا مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ فَتُصْبِحَ صَعِيدًا زَلَقًا 40
﴿فَعَسى رَبِّي أنْ يُؤْتِيَنِي خَيْرًا مِن جَنَّتِكَ﴾ هو جَوابُ الشَّرْطِ، والمَعْنى: إنْ تَرَنِ أفْقَرَ مِنكَ، فَأنا أتَوَقَّعُ مِن صُنْعِ اللَّهِ سُبْحانَهُ أنْ يَقْلِبَ ما بِي، وما بِكَ مِنَ الفَقْرِ والغِنى، فَيَرْزُقَنِي لِإيمانِي جَنَّةً خَيْرًا مِن جَنَّتِكَ، ويَسْلُبَكَ لِكُفْرِكَ نِعْمَتَهُ، ويُخْرِبَ جَنَّتَكَ.
﴿وَيُرْسِلَ عَلَيْها حُسْبانًا﴾ هو مَصْدَرٌ بِمَعْنى: الحِسابِ كالبُطْلانِ والغُفْرانِ، أيْ: مِقْدارًا قَدَّرَهُ اللَّهُ تَعالى وحَسَبَهُ، وهو الحُكْمُ بِتَخْرِيبِها. وقِيلَ: عَذابُ حُسْبانٍ، وهو حِسابُ ما كَسَبَتْ يَداهُ، وقِيلَ: مَرامِي جَمْعُ حُسْبانَةٍ، وهي الصَّواعِقُ، ومُساعَدَةُ النَّظْمِ الكَرِيمِ فِيما سَيَأْتِي لِلْأوَّلِينَ أكْثَرُ.
﴿مِنَ السَّماءِ فَتُصْبِحَ صَعِيدًا زَلَقًا﴾ مَصْدَرٌ أُرِيدَ بِهِ المَفْعُولُ مُبالَغَةً، أيْ: أرْضٌ مَلْساءُ يُزْلَقُ عَلَيْها لِاسْتِئْصالِ ما عَلَيْها مِنَ البِناءِ، والشَّجَرِ، والنَّباتِ.
