QUL does not say which printed edition it follows and states no licence for the texts, so the right to show them is not verified. Nobody has compared it with a printed book or a manuscript, and no scholar has reviewed it. Each passage stands beside the verses it comments on, which are the Qur’ān text of Tanzil, shown as it is there. Where the text carries a note of an editor’s, in double brackets, it is shown as it stands. There is no translation yet.

أَوْ يَأْخُذَهُمْ عَلَىٰ تَخَوُّفٍ فَإِنَّ رَبَّكُمْ لَرَءُوفٌ رَّحِيمٌ 47
﴿أوْ يَأْخُذَهم عَلى تَخَوُّفٍ﴾ أيْ: مَخافَةٍ وحَذَرٍ عَنِ الهَلاكِ والعَذابِ، بِأنْ يُهْلِكَ قَوْمًا قَبْلَهُمْ، فَيَتَخَوَّفُوا فَيَأْخُذَهُمُ العَذابُ، وهم مُتَخَوِّفُونَ، وحَيْثُ كانَتْ حالَتا التَّقَلُّبِ، والتَّخَوُّفِ مَظِنَّةً لِلْهَرَبِ عُبِّرَ عَنْ إصابَةِ العَذابِ فِيهِما بِالأخْذِ، وعَنْ إصابَتِهِ حالَةَ الغَفْلَةِ المُنْبِئَةِ عَنِ السُّكُونِ بِالإتْيانِ، وقِيلَ: التَّخَوُّفُ التَّنَقُّصُ. قالَ قائِلُهُمْ:
؎ تَخَوَّفَ الرَّحْلُ مِنها تامِكًا قَرِدًا كَما تَخَوَّفَ عُودَ النَّبْعَةِ السَّفَنُ
أيْ: يَأْخُذُهم عَلى أنْ يُنْقِصَهم شَيْئًا بَعْدَ شَيْءٍ في أنْفُسِهِمْ، وأمْوالِهِمْ، حَتّى يُهْلَكُوا.
. والمُرادُ بِذِكْرِ الأحْوالِ الثَّلاثِ بَيانُ قُدْرَةِ اللَّهِ سُبْحانَهُ عَلى إهْلاكِهِمْ بِأيِّ وجْهٍ كانَ لا الحَصْرُ فِيها.
﴿فَإنَّ رَبَّكم لَرَءُوفٌ رَحِيمٌ﴾ حَيْثُ لا يُعاجِلُكم بِالعُقُوبَةِ، ويَحْلُمُ عَنْكم مَعَ اسْتِحْقاقِكم لَها.
